Graphic Design
CASE STUDY (2024)
BRANDING
DIGITAL ADS • POSTER LAYOUT
PHOTO EDITING
Overview
This is a campaign of several digital and print ads to promote a new Nike clothing line for Rip City Clothing Co., the team shop for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Timeline
2 weeks
Project Scope
Art direction for campaign, 14 digital graphics (across social, web ads, and email), and 5 poster sizes.
Execution
The general look of the campaign was created to go with the scrap book or ransom note styled theme of the 2023-24 season.
Textures, player photos, and images of cut-up letters were supplied by the design team at the Blazers, so I used Photoshop to create the type treatments and look for this campaign, then built out the rest of the assets.
Direction was to use the provided photos of the players in the outfits as the main focus and add elements around them.
A brand style guide was supplied by the team organization as well, to ensure the creative aligned with that.
Conclusion
The set came out consistent and communicates well, while fitting in with the look of the season’s campaign. A cool moment to see one of the ads live while I watched a game as well!
